جزی جزا وَحَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ : We carried you in the ship )69:12( وَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا )singular جَارِيَةٌ( : And those running easily or smoothly )51:4( وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَئْتُ )singular( جَارِيَةٌ see above). And to Him belong the lofy ships reared aloft )55:25( جَارٍ masculine of جَارِيَّةٌ نَهْرٌ جَارٍ : A flowing stream مَجْرَى : Inf. noun of جَرَى meaning, flowing. It also means, place or time of flowing or running; channel of a river. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرِهَا وَمُرْسَهَا : In the name of Allah is its sailing and its anchoring (11:42) What happened i. e. and event or occurrence (plural( هُوَجَرِيٌّ لَهُ مَا جَرَيَاتٌ : He is his surety . جَرْىءٌ : Bold man. جَزَاَ ]aor. يَجْرَأُ if. noun جَزَاَهُ [جَزْءٌ : He divided it into parts or portions; he made it to consist of parts or portions as also جَزَّاَهُ ; he took a part or portion of it; he made it firm, fast or strong; he bound it firmly . جَزَا به : He was satisfied with it. جُزْءٌ )plural( )اَجْزَاء( : A part or portion or division of a thing; a constituent part of a thing; a volume of a book. وَجَعَلُوْا لَهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ جُزْاً : And they assign to Him a part of His servants )3:16( جُزُوًا : Females. جَزَعَ ]aor. يَجْزَعُ inf. noun جَزْعٌ جَزْعٌ : The act of cutting جَزَعَ الْوَادِيَ : He passed the valley to the other side. جَزَعَ لَهُ مِنْ مَّالِهِ جَزْعَةً : He cut apart from his property a portion for him. جَزِع aor. يَجْزَع( : He was or became impatient; he manifested grief and agitation; he was or became affected with grief. جزع and are inf. nouns from جَزِعَ meaning grief or impatience. سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَجَزِعْنَا أَمْ صَبَرْنَا : It is equal to us whether we are impatient or show patience (14:22). 28 جُزُوع جَزَى ]aor. يَجْزِي and inf. noun جَزَاء[ : It paid, gave or rendered as a satisfaction; it satisfied; sufficed; or contented. جَزَيْتُ الدَّيْنَ : I paid the debt. جَزَيْتُ فُلانًا حَقَّهُ : I paid such a one his right or due. جَزَاهُ كَذَا or جَزَاهُ بِهِ or جَازَاهُ. He repaid requited, compensated or recompensed him for such a thing. جَزَاهُ اللهُ خَيْرًا : May God repay him good. جَازَيْتُهُ بِذَنْبِهِ : I punished him for his crime. وَجَزَاهُمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوْا جَنَّةَ : And He rewarded them, recompensed them for their patience with a garden )76:13( لا تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَّفْسٍ : A soul shall not give anything as a satisfaction or shall not make satisfaction 135
