Sub-Footnote Number Four 435 There is a group from among the first ones and a group from among the last ones. In this revelation, the word ‘ I s a alludes to my humble self. Then, after this, Allah revealed in Urdu: ا ی آ� ر ی ذن� ی ا� ی م ا ی ن د� اگ. وں ئ ااھٹ� وک ھجت ےس امنیئ دقرت اینپ اگ. وں دالھک�ئ اکمچر اینپ ی م اُس ےس ولمحں آور زور ڑبے اور اگ ے رك وبقل اُےس دخا ن ی ل ا ی ک ہن وبقل وک اُس ےن ا ی ن د� رپ اگ. دے رك اظرہ اچسیئ یک I shall demonstrate My light and shall raise you with a demon- stration of My power. A Warner came unto the world, but the world accepted him not; yet God shall accept him and demon- strate his truthfulness with mighty assaults. ٰھنا فاصبر كما صبر اولو العزم. ه الفتنۃ There is a trial here, then be steadfast as were the Prophets of high resolve. فلما تجلّٰی ربہ للجبل جعلہ دكا. When the Lord will manifest Himself on the mountain of diffi- culties, He will crush them into bits. قوۃ الرحمٰن لعبید الل ّٰ الصمد. It is the power of [the Gracious] God, which He, the Absolutely Independent will demonstrate for His servant. مقام ال تترقی العبد فیہ بسعی االعمال. Meaning that to be the ‘servant of Allah, the Independent and Besought of all’ is a status that is bestowed through special bounty. It cannot be achieved through efforts.
