travelling pilgrims; or at least there could prevail an example of the complete is- lamic way of life wherefrom Muslims could return with refreshed knowledge of religion۔But lamentably this does not exist۔Since ages Arabs have been laps- ing into ignorance۔The inefficient rulers instead of improving their lots, succes- sively tried to abase them۔With regard to knowledge, morality and culture, they remain cast down to an appalling condi- tion۔As a result, the land wherefrom the light of Islam had once spread all over the world, has now reverted to the pre-Islamic era of ignorance۔Today there remains neither the knowledge of Islam, nor is- lamic morals and way of life۔Faithfuls cover long distances to the holy land with great expectations only to encounter ig- norance, filth, greed, immodesty, Materialism and mismanagement, caus- ing them to crumble into despair۔Kaba, Ed7 Pg۔195)۔The spiritual institution of Khilafat and the Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) are meant to establish a Quranic League of Nations and the United Nations۔Thus, the founder of Ahmadiyya movement declared through a hand bill in Decem- ber 1892۔This Convention (Jalsa Salana), backed by divine support and based on propaga- tion of Kalima, should not be considered as an ordinary human gathering۔The foundation stone of this institution is laid by the Almighty God Himself۔He has prepared Nations which will ultimately merge in it in the near future, because, it is an act of All Powerful the God against Whose Will stands nothing۔Time is nearing, infact has drawn close when for the sake of this community of moderates Allah will establish an agree- able course; the very course that Quran has brought: the very course that prophet Mohammed (Peace and blessings be upon him) had indoctrinated to his dis- ciples (Blessed be they): the very guidance-the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous have always received۔This will come to pass: surely it will, "surely it will"۔Hearken ye who have ears۔Blessed are those who pursue the righteous path۔iCollective posters binding (Pg۔342 and 343)۔The Promised Messiah speaking about the 'Institution of Khilafat' in Ahmadiyyat in his book Al Wasyat, prophesied "God Almighty wills all souls endowed with good nature, living in various parts of the world, be it Europe, be it Asia, to be attracted to the oneness of God and be collected on the platform of the one and only religion" (Al-Wasset Ed۔Pgáj۔Hazrat Musleh Maud, Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmed in his famous Wembley con- ference lecture clearly said, "A Government in Islam as considered by Islam is the nomination of a person in whom the people have vested their diverse personal interests, to be taken care of۔No concept other than this is in agreement with the Islamic point of view۔Islam does not agree to any system of government other than a representative government۔The Holy Quran has ex- pressed this concept in the form of a peculiar word, Amanat, meaning 'Given in trust'۔The Holy Quran gives the name Amanat to a government (Sura Nisa, Verse 59)۔It means an authority vested by the people in a certain person۔Neither is the authority self established nor is it by way of legacy۔The one word 'Amanat is sufficient to explain all aspects of an Is- lamic government۔As far as we are con- cerned this very system is a true government۔And we hope that as people progressively associate with Ahmadiyyat they will accept the credibility of this sys- tem of government of their own free will without any coercion۔Even the kings reciprocate by voluntarily denying their legacies in the interest of the state; and will limit their right and be consistent with 12
