the over all national standard۔Since the Promised Messiah had been commis- sioned by Allah only for spiritual vicegerency, his Khilafat would prefer to remain independent of politics as far as possible, even when rulers enter the fold of Ahmadiyyat۔He will carry out the basic functions of the League of Nations by meeting the representatives of the various nations and thereby trying to improve their mutual relations۔His personal devation will however, be directed towards religious, moral, cultural and educational reforms, so that as in the olden days, his devotion would not be absorbed ex- clusively by politics, resulting in the neglect of important matters of religion and ethics۔When I said "as far as possible", i meant that an exigency of any country would warrant an assistance at any time to over- come difficulties; spiritual Khilafat can ad- minister it temporarily through representatives۔However, it will be im- portant to limit such an administration to a minimum possible period۔(Ahmadiyyat Pg۔206)۔The Almighty Allah foretold our beloved Imam, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih TV at the inception of his Khilafat that the world order and 'isms are about to be toppled and in its place there will appear guidance as proclaimed by the Holy Quran۔Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV dwelt on the same subject in a Friday sermon in 1991 and proposed the establishment of a modern Quranic United Nations۔The following is the translation of his blessed words۔"This old organization shall be annulled۔You remain fore-warned and continue to hold this conviction and hold it unabatedly that the principles of these old Nations, now known as the United Nations are not worthy of sustenance۔These Nations will become historical ruins, rather gruesome reminders of the past۔Behold, it will be you, O, ye servants of the One and Only God, it will be you, who will raise new mansions over these historical ruins; you will be the builders of a new United Na- tion, on whom this great mission has been entrusted۔You will witness sooner or later, and if not you, your progeny will wit- ness it in the near future, or at the most the next generation۔These are words of the Divine Being and these are written statements of His proclaimed destiny in the world which cannot be erased by sny۔You are the labourers who have been entrusted to raise those new mansions۔The foundation of the new United Nations has already been laid in the divine plen- ning in heaven۔You are only to raise the mansions۔So let not the names of those holy workers, Abraham and Ishmael vanish from your hearts۔Remember for ever and persistently continue to advise your children, O, ye labourers for a holy cause! patronise the cause of TAUHEED (Belief in one God) with piety۔truthfulness and sincerity and impregnat- ing this motto in your blood and fiber will continue to construct this great mansion۔You will continue to raise it in the next century and the century there after until the complete structure is accomplished۔The credit of the pride of accomplishment of this great mansion whose foundation had been laid by Hazrat Abraham accom- panied by his son Ishmael has been predestined to go to Hazrat Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)۔No body can this alter۔We are only humble workers and servants of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and bless- ings of Allah be upon him)۔" Alfazal March 4, 1991۔Pg۔5)۔13
