Al-Fatihah

152

اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۲﴾

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,

445

اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۶﴾

Guide us in the right path —

445

صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ ۬ۙ غَیۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا الضَّآلِّیۡنَ

The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy

Al-Baqarah

417

ذٰلِکَ الۡکِتٰبُ لَا رَیۡبَ ۚۖۛ فِیۡہِ ۚۛ ہُدًی لِّلۡمُتَّقِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۳﴾

This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the righteous,

454

خَتَمَ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی قُلُوۡبِہِمۡ وَعَلٰی سَمۡعِہِمۡ ؕ وَعَلٰۤی اَبۡصَارِہِمۡ غِشَاوَۃٌ

Allah has set a seal on their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes is a covering

211

عَلَّمَ اٰدَمَ الۡاَسۡمَآءَ

He taught Adam all the names,

432

اُشۡرِبُوۡا فِیۡ قُلُوۡبِہِمُ الۡعِجۡلَ

their hearts were permeated with the love of the calf

28

مَا نَنۡسَخۡ مِنۡ اٰیَۃٍ اَوۡ نُنۡسِہَا ناۡتِ بِخَیۡرٍ مِّنۡہَاۤ اَوۡ مِثۡلِہَا ؕ اَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ اَنَّ اللّٰہَ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ قَدِیۡرٌ ﴿۱۰۷﴾

Whatever Sign We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than that or the like thereof. Dost thou not know that Allah has the power to do all that He wills?

442

بَلٰی ٭ مَنۡ اَسۡلَمَ وَجۡہَہٗ لِلّٰہِ وَہُوَ مُحۡسِنٌ فَلَہٗۤ اَجۡرُہٗ عِنۡدَ رَبِّہٖ ۪ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا ہُمۡ یَحۡزَنُوۡنَ ﴿۱۱۳﴾٪

Nay, whoever submits himself completely to Allah, and is the doer of good, shall have his reward with his Lord. No fear shall come upon such, neither shall they grieve.

494

اَیۡنَمَا تُوَلُّوۡا فَثَمَّ وَجۡہُ اللّٰہِ

withersoever you turn, there will be the face of Allah

436

وَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلّٰہِ

But those who believe are stronger in their love for Allah

438

وَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلّٰہِ

But those who believe are stronger in their love for Allah

438

فَاذۡکُرُوا اللّٰہَ کَذِکۡرِکُمۡ اٰبَآءَکُمۡ اَوۡ اَشَدَّ ذِکۡرًا

Celebrate the praises of Allah as you celebrated the praises of your fathers, or even more than that.

442

فَاذۡکُرُوا اللّٰہَ کَذِکۡرِکُمۡ اٰبَآءَکُمۡ اَوۡ اَشَدَّ ذِکۡرًا

celebrate the praises of Allah as you celebrated the praises of your fathers, or even more than that.

442

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنۡ یَّشۡرِیۡ نَفۡسَہُ ابۡتِغَآءَ مَرۡضَاتِ اللّٰہِ ؕ وَاللّٰہ رَءُوۡفٌۢ بِالۡعِبَادِ ﴿۲۰۸﴾

And of men there is he who would sell himself to seek the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is Compassionate to His servants.

429

وَلٰکِنۡ یُّؤَاخِذُکُمۡ بِمَا کَسَبَتۡ قُلُوۡبُکُمۡ

but He will call you to account for what your hearts have earned

334

لَاۤ اِکۡرَاہَ فِی الدِّیۡنِ

There should be no compulsion in religion.

Aal-e-`Imran

336

الٓمَّٓ ۙ﴿۲﴾

Alif Lam Mim.

336

اللّٰہُ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا ہُوَ ۙ الۡحَیُّ الۡقَیُّوۡمُ ؕ﴿۳﴾

Allah is He beside Whom there is no God, the

336

نَزَّلَ عَلَیۡکَ الۡکِتٰبَ بِالۡحَقِّ

He has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth

117

اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَا یُخۡلفُ الۡمِیۡعَادَ

surely, Allah breaks not His promise.’

308

یٰعِیۡسٰۤی اِنِّیۡ مُتَوَفِّیۡکَ

O Jesus, I will cause thee to die a natural death

413

فَمَنۡ حَآجَّکَ فِیۡہِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَکَ مِنَ الۡعِلۡمِ فَقُلۡ

Now whoso disputes with thee concerning him, after what has

233

اِنَّ اَوَّلَ بَیۡتٍ وُّضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِیۡ بِبَکَّۃَ مُبٰرَکًا وَّہُدًی لِّلۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ﴿ۚ۹۷﴾

Surely, the first House founded for mankind is that at Becca, abounding in blessings and a guidance for all peoples.

339

کُنۡتُمۡ عَلٰی شَفَا حُفۡرَۃٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ

you were on the brink of a pit of fire

436

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَتَّخِذُوۡا بِطَانَۃً مِّنۡ دُوۡنِکُمۡ

O ye who believe! take not others than your own people as intimate friends

An-Nisa'

405

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا کُوۡنُوۡا قَوّٰمِیۡنَ بِالۡقِسۡطِ شُہَدَآءَ لِلّٰہِ وَلَوۡ عَلٰۤی اَنۡفُسِکُمۡ اَوِ الۡوَالِدَیۡنِ وَالۡاَقۡرَبِیۡنَ

O ye who believe! be strict in observing justice, and be witnesses for Allah, even though it be against yourselves or against parents and kindred.

336

یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَکُمُ الرَّسُوۡلُ بِالۡحَقِّ

O mankind, the Messenger has indeed come to you with Truth

336

یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَکُمۡ بُرۡہَانٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ وَاَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکُمۡ نُوۡرًا مُّبِیۡنًا ﴿۱۷۵﴾

O ye people, a manifest proof has indeed come to you from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.

Al-Ma'idah

346

اَلۡیَوۡمَ اَکۡمَلۡتُ لَکُمۡ دِیۡنَکُۡ وَاَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَیۡکُمۡ نِعۡمَتِیۡ وَرَضِیۡتُ لَکُمُ الۡاِسۡلَامَ دِیۡنًا

This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion.

411

لَا یَجۡرِمَنَّکُمۡ شَنَاٰنُ قَوۡمٍ عَلٰۤی اَلَّا تَعۡدِلُوۡا ؕ اِعۡدِلُوۡا ۟ ہُوَ اَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوٰی

Let not a people’s enmity incite you to act otherwise than with justice. Be always just, that is nearer to righteousness.

436

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الۡیَہُوۡدَ وَالنَّصٰرٰۤی اَوۡلِیَآءَ

O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for friends

308

فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّیۡتَنِیۡ

But since Thou didst cause me to die

Al-An`am

285

لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِکَلِمٰتِ اللّٰہِ

There is none that can change the words of Allah

183

وَلِتُنۡذِرَ اُمَّ الۡقُرٰی وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَہَا

and to enable thee to warn the Mother of towns and those around her.

207

لِتُنۡذِرَ اُمَّ الۡقُرٰی

To enable thee to warn the Mother of towns of towns

Al-A`raf

430

قُلۡ اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّیَ الۡفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَہَرَ مِنۡہَا وَمَا بَطَنَ

Say, ‘My Lord has only forbidden foul deeds, whether open or secret.'

124

رَبَّنَا افۡتَحۡ بَیۡنَنَا وَبَیۡنَ قَوۡمِنَا بِالۡحَقِّ وَاَنۡتَ خَیۡرُ الۡفٰتِحِیۡنَ

O our Lord, decide Thou between us and between our people with truth, and Thou art the Best of those who decide.

119

وَوٰعَدۡنَا مُوۡسٰی ثَلٰثِیۡنَ لَیۡلَۃً

And We made Moses a promise of thirty nights

336

قُلۡ یٰۤاَیُّہَا النَّاسُ اِنِّیۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰہِ اِلَیۡکُمۡ جَمِیۡعَا

Say, ‘O mankind! truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah.'

488

اَلَسۡتُ بِرَبِّکُمۡ ؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰی

Am I not your Lord?’ They say, ‘Yea.'

Al-Anfal

30

وَہمۡ یَسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡنَ

while they sought forgiveness.

45

مَا کَانَ اللّٰہُ لِیُعَذِّبَہُمۡ وَاَنۡتَ فِیۡہِمۡ

Allah would not punish them while thou wast among them

At-Taubah

363

وَقَالَتِ الۡیَہُوۡدُ عُزَیۡرُ ۣابۡنُ اللّٰہِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصٰرَی الۡمَسِیۡحُ ابۡنُ اللّٰہِ ؕ ذٰلِکَ قَوۡلُہُمۡ بِاَفۡوَاہِہِمۡ ۚ یُضَاہِـُٔوۡنَ قَوۡلَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ قٰتَلَہُمُ اللّٰہُ ۚ۫ اَنّٰی یُؤۡفَکُوۡنَ ﴿۳۰﴾

And the Jews say, Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say, the Messiah is the son of Allah; that is what they say with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before them. Allah’s curse be on them! How are they turned away!

435

عَزِیۡزٌ عَلَیۡہِ مَا عَنِتُّمۡ حَرِیۡصٌ عَلَیۡکُمۡ

Grievous to him is that you should fall into trouble; he is ardently desirous of your welfare;

Yunus

43

وَاِذَا مَسَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۡۢبِہٖۤ اَوۡ قَاعِدًا اَوۡ قَآئِمًا ۚ فَلَمَّا کَشَفۡنَا عَنۡہُ ضُرَّہٗ مَرَّ کَاَنۡ لَّمۡ یَدۡعُنَاۤ اِلٰی ضُرٍّ مَّسَّہٗ ؕ کَذٰلِکَ زُیِّنَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِیۡنَ مَا کَانُوۡا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۳﴾

And when trouble befalls a man, he calls on Us, lying on his side, or sitting, or standing; but when We have removed his trouble from him, he goes his way as though he had never called on Us for the removal of the trouble that befell him. Thus it is that the doings of the extravagant are given a fair appearance in their eyes.

43

حَتّٰۤی اِذَا کُنۡتُمۡ فِی الۡفُلۡکِ ۚ وَجَرَیۡنَ بِہِمۡ بِرِیۡحٍ طَیِّبَۃٍ وَّفَرِحُوۡا بِہَا جَآءَتۡہَا رِیۡحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَّجَآءَہُمُ الۡمَوۡجُ مِنۡ کُلِّ مَکَانٍ وَّظَنُّوۡۤا اَنَّہُمۡ اُحِیۡطَ بِہِمۡ ۙ دَعَوُا اللّٰہَ مُخۡلِصِیۡنَ لَہُ الدِّیۡنَ ۬ۚ لَئِنۡ اَنۡجَیۡتَنَا مِنۡ ہٰذِہٖ لَنَکُوۡنَنَّ مِنَ الشّٰکِرِیۡنَ

When you are on board the ships and they sail with them with a fair breeze and they rejoice in it, there overtakes them (the ships) a violent wind and the waves come on them from every side and they think they are encompassed, then they call upon Allah, purifying their religion for Him, saying, ‘If Thou deliver us from this, we will surely be of the thankful.’

118

لَئِنۡ اَنۡجَیۡتَنَا مِنۡ ہٰذِہٖ لَنَکُۡنَنَّ مِنَ الشّٰکِرِیۡنَ

‘If Thou deliver us from this, we will surely be of the thankful.’

43

فَلَمَّاۤ اَنۡجٰہُمۡ اِذَا ہُمۡ یَبۡغُوۡنَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ بِغَیۡرِ الۡحَقِّ

But when He has delivered them, lo! they begin to commit excesses in the earth wrongfully

118

فَلَمَّاۤ اَنۡجٰہُمۡ اِذَا ہُمۡ یَبۡغُوۡنَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ بِغَیۡرِ الۡحَقِّ

But when He has delivered them, lo! they begin to commit excesses in the earth wrongfully

Yusuf

207

قُرۡءٰنًا عَرَبِیًّا

the Qur’an in Arabic

Ar-Ra`d

15

وَلَقَدِ اسۡتُہۡزِیٴَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلَِ فَاَمۡلَیۡتُ لِلَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا ثُمَّ اَخَذۡتُہُمۡ ۟ فَکَیۡفَ کَانَ عِقَابِ ﴿۳۳﴾

And surely, Messengers have been mocked at before thee; but I granted respite to those who disbelieved. Then I seized them, and how was then My punishment!

Ibrahim

359

کَلِمَۃً طَیِّبَۃً کَشَجَرَۃٍ طَیِّبَۃٍ

The similitude of a good word is like a good tree.

An-Nahl

339

یَدُسُّہٗ فِی التُّرَابِ

bury it in the dust

436

اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یَاۡمُرُ بِالۡعَدۡلِ وَالۡاِحۡسَانِ وَاِیۡتَآیِٔ ذِی الۡقُرۡبٰی

Verily, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others; and giving like kindred

438

اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یَاۡمُرُ بِالۡعَدۡلِ وَالۡاِحۡسَانِ وَاِیۡتَآیِٔ ذِی الۡقُرۡبٰی

Verily, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others; and giving like kindred

442

اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یَاۡمُرُ بِالۡعَدۡلِ وَالۡاِحۡسَانِ وَاِیۡتَآیِٔ ذِی الۡقُرۡبٰی

Verily, Allah enjoins justice, and the doing of good to others; and giving like kindred

188

عَرَبِیٌّ مُّبِیۡنٌ

this is Arabic tongue, plain and clear.

413

اِلَّا مَنۡ اُکۡرِہَ وَقَلۡبُہٗ مُطۡمَئِنٌّۢ بِالۡاِیۡمَانِ

Save him who is forced thereto while his heart finds peace in the faith.

414

ثُمَّ اِنَّ رَبَّکَ لِلَّذِیۡنَ ہَاجَرُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا فُتِنُوۡا ثُمَّ جٰہَدُوۡا وَصَبَرُوۡۤا ۙ اِنَّ رَبَّکَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِہَا لَغَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِیۡمٌ ﴿۱۱۱﴾٪

Then, surely, thy Lord — to those who fled their homes after they had been persecuted and then struggled hard in the cause of Allah and remained steadfast — aye, surely, after that thy Lord is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

Bani Isra'il

15

وَاِذَاۤ اَرَدۡنَاۤ اَنۡ نُّہۡلِکَ قَرۡیَۃً اَمَرۡنَا مُتۡرَفِیۡہَا فَفَسَقُوۡا فِیۡہَا فَحَقَّ عَلَیۡہَا الۡقَوۡلُ فَدَمَّرۡنٰہَا تَدۡمِیۡرًا ﴿۱۷﴾

And when We intend to destroy a township, We address Our commandment to its rebellious people, but they transgress therein; so the sentence of punishment becomes due against it, and We destroy it with utter destruction.

429

اِنَّ السَّمۡعَ وَالۡبَصَرَ وَالۡفُؤَادَ کُلُّ اُولٰٓئِک کَانَ عَنۡہُ مَسۡـُٔوۡلً

Verily, the ear and the eye and the heart — all these shall be called to account.

489

اِنۡ مِّنۡ شَیۡءٍ اِلَّا یُسَبِّحُ بِحَمۡدِہٖ

there is not a thing but glorifies Him with His praise;

336

وَبِالۡحَقِّ اَنۡزَلۡنٰہُ وَبِالۡحَقِّ نَزَلَ

And in truth have We sent it down and with truth has it descended

TaHa

154

رَبُّنَا الَّذِیۡۤ اَعۡطٰی کُلَّ شَیۡءٍ خَلۡقَہٗ ثُمَّ ہَدٰی

‘Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its proper form and then guided it to its proper function.’

Al-Hajj

233

اِذۡ بَوَّاۡنَا لِاِبۡرٰہِیۡمَ مَکَانَ الۡبَیۡتِ

remember the time when We assigned to Abraham the site of the House

405

فَاجۡتَنِبُوا الرِّجۡسَ مِنَ الۡاَوۡثَانِ وَاجۡتَنِبُوۡا قَوۡلَ الزُّوۡرِ

Shun therefore the abomination of idols, and shun all words of untruth,

An-Nur

418

قُلۡ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ یَغُضُّوۡا مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِہِمۡ وَیَحۡفَظُوۡا فُرُوۡجَہُمۡ ؕ ذٰلِکَ اَزۡکٰی لَہُمۡ ؕ

Say to the believing men that they restrain their eyes and guard their private parts. That is purer for them.

Al-Furqan

338

لِیَکُوۡنَ لِلۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ نَذِیۡرَا ۙ

that he may be a Warner to all the worlds

362

تَبٰرَکَ الَّذِیۡ نَزَّلَ الۡفُرۡقَانَ عَلٰی عَبۡدِہٖ لِیَکُوۡنَ لِلۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ نَذِیۡرَا ۙ﴿۲﴾

Blessed is He Who has sent down the Discrimination to His servant, that he may be a Warner to all the worlds —

84

یَبِیۡتُوۡنَ لِرَبِّہِمۡ سُجَّدًا وَّقِیَامًا

{They} spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing.

Ash-Shu`ara'

357

لَعَلَّکَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفۡسَکَ اَلَّا یَکُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ ﴿۴﴾

Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

435

لَعَلَّکَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفۡسَکَ اَلَّا یَکُوۡنُوۡا مُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ ﴿۴﴾

Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not.

An-Naml

15

وَمَکَرُوۡا مَکۡرًا وَّمَکَرۡنَا مَکۡرًا وَّہُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُوۡنَ ﴿۵۱﴾

And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, but they perceived it not.

249

اََذَّبۡتُمۡ بِاٰیٰتِیۡ وَلَمۡ تُحِیۡطُوۡا بِہَا عِلۡمًا

Did you reject My Signs, while you did not embrace them in your knowledge?

Al-Qasas

15

وَمَا کُنَّا مُہۡلِکِی الۡقُرٰۤی اِلَّا وَاَہۡلُہَا ظٰلِمُوۡنَ

nor would We destroy the towns unless the people thereof are wrongdoers.

Ar-Rum

163

وَمِنۡ اٰیٰتِہٖ خَلۡقُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَخۡتِلَافُ اَلۡسِنَتِکُمۡ وَاَلۡوَانِکُمۡ ؕ اِنَّ فِیۡ ذٰلِکَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّلۡعٰلِمِیۡنَ ﴿۲۳﴾

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your tongues and colours. In that surely are Signs for those who possess knowledge.

338

ظَہَرَ الۡفَسَادُ فِی الۡبَرِّ وَالۡبَحۡرِ

Corruption has appeared on land and sea

Az-Zukhruf

90

فَلَمَّا کَشَفۡنَا عَنۡہُمُ الۡعَذَابَ اِذَا ہُمۡ یَنۡکُثُوۡنَ ﴿۵۱﴾

But when We removed the punishment from them, behold! they broke their word.

Ad-Dukhan

42

رَبَّنَا اکۡشِفۡ عَنَّا الۡعَذَابَ اِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ﴿۱۳﴾

Then will the people cry: ‘Our Lord, remove from us the torment; truly, we are believers.’

85

رَبَّنَا اکۡشِفۡ عَنَّا الۡعَذَابَ اِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ﴿۱۳﴾

Then will the people cry: ‘Our Lord, remove from us the torment; truly, we are believers.’

42

اِنَّا کَاشِفُوا الۡعَذَابِ قَلِیۡلًا اِنَّکُمۡ عَآئِدُوۡنَ ﴿ۘ۱۶﴾

We shall remove the punishment for a little while, but you will certainly revert to disbelief.

85

اِنَّا کَاشِفُوا الۡعَذَابِ قَلِیۡلًا اِنَّکُمۡ عَآئِدُوۡنَ ﴿ۘ۱۶﴾

We shall remove the punishment for a little while, but you will certainly revert to disbelief.

Muhammad

336

وَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَاٰمَنُوۡا بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّہُوَ الۡحَقُّ مِنۡ رَّبِّہِمۡ ۙ کَفَّرَ عَنۡہُمۡ سَیِّاٰتِہِمۡ وَاَصۡلَحَ بَالَہُمۡ ﴿۳﴾

But as for those who believe and do good works and believe in that which has been revealed to Muhammad — and it is the truth from their Lord — He removes from them their sins and improves their condition.

Al-Fath

90

اِنَّا فَتَحۡنَا لَکَ فَتۡحًا مُّبِیۡنًا ۙ﴿۲﴾

Verily, We have granted thee a clear victory,

Al-Hujurat

438

حَبَّبَ اِلَیۡکُمُ الۡاِیۡمَانَ وَزَیَّنَہٗ فِیۡ قُلُوۡبِکُمۡ

{Allah has} endeared the faith to you and has made it look beautiful to your hearts

448

اِنَّ اَکۡرَمَکُمۡ عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ اَتۡقٰکُمۡ

Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you.

Qaf

494

نَحۡنُ اَقۡرَبُ اِلَیۡہِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ الۡوَرِیۡدِ

We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein

Adh-Dhariyat

146

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ ﴿۵۷﴾

And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they may worship Me.

153

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ ﴿۵۷﴾

And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they may worship Me.

An-Najm

393

وَمَا یَنۡطِقُ عَنِ الۡہَوٰی ؕ﴿۴﴾

Nor does he speak out of his own desire.

393

اِنۡ ہُوَ اِلَّا وَحۡیٌ یُّوۡحٰی ۙ﴿۵﴾

It is nothing but pure revelation that has been revealed by God.

256

لَّیۡسَ لِلۡاِنۡسَانِ اِلَّا مَا سَعٰی

man will have nothing but what he strives for

Ar-Rahman

189

اَلرَّحۡمٰنُ ۙ﴿۲﴾

It is God, the Gracious

189

عَلَّمَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ ؕ﴿۳﴾

Who has taught the Qur’an.

188

خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ ۙ﴿۴﴾

He has created man.

188

عَلَّمَہُ الۡبَیَانَ ﴿۵﴾

He has taught him plain speech.

189

عَلَّمَہُ الۡبَیَانَ ﴿۵﴾

He has taught him plain speech.

191

اَلشَّمۡسُ وَالۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٍ ﴿۪۶﴾

The sun and the moon run their courses according to a fixed reckoning.

Al-Hadid

494

ہُوَ مَعَکُمۡ اَیۡنَ مَا کُنۡتُمۡ

He is with you wheresoever you may be

342

وَلَا یَکُوۡنُوۡا کَالَّذِیۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡکِتٰبَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَیۡہِمُ الۡاَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوۡبُہُمۡ ؕ وَکَثِیۡرٌ مِّنۡہُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ

And that they should not become like those who were given the Book before them and the term was prolonged for them, but their hearts were hardened, and many of them are wicked?

340

اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death.

342

اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا ؕ قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا لَکُمُ الۡاٰیٰتِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۸﴾

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death. We have made the Signs manifest to you, that you may understand.

343

قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا لَکُمُ الۡاٰیٰتِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ

We have made the Signs manifest to you, that you may understand

369

اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحۡیِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِہَا

Know that Allah is now quickening the earth after its death.

Al-Mumtahinah

437

لَا یَنۡہٰٮکُمُ اللّٰہُ عَنِ الَّذِیۡنَ لَمۡ یُقَاتِلُوۡکُمۡ فِی الدِّیۡنِ وَلَمۡ یُخۡرِجُوۡکُمۡ مِّنۡ دِیَارِکُمۡ اَنۡ تَبَرُّوۡہُمۡ وَتُقۡسِطُوۡۤا اِلَیۡہِمۡ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یُحِبُّ الۡمُقۡسِطِیۡنَ ﴿۹﴾

Allah forbids you not, respecting those who have not fought against you on account of your religion, and who have not driven you forth from your homes, that you be kind to them and act equitably towards them; surely Allah loves those who are equitable.

437

اِنَّمَا یَنۡہٰٮکُمُ اللّٰہُ عَنِ الَّذِیۡنَ قٰتَلُوۡکُمۡ فِی الدِّیۡنِ وَاَخۡرَجُوۡکُمۡ مِّنۡ دِیَارِکُمۡ وَظٰہَرُوۡا عَلٰۤی اِخۡرَاجِکُمۡ اَنۡ تَوَلَّوۡہُمۡ ۚ وَمَنۡ یَّتَوَلَّہُمۡ فَاُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ﴿۱۰﴾

Allah only forbids you, respecting those who have fought against you on account of your religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and have helped others in driving you out, that you make friends of them, and whosoever makes friends of them — it is these that are the transgressors.

Al-Munafiqun

79

وَلَنۡ یُّؤَخِّرَ اللّٰہُ نَفۡسًا اِذَا جَآءَ اَجَلُہَا

And Allah will not grant respite to a soul when its appointed time has come

80

لَنۡ یُّؤَخِّرَ اللّٰہُ نَفۡسًا

Allah will not grant respite to a soul

Ad-Dahr

442

وَیُطۡعِمُوۡنَ الطَّعَامَ عَلٰی حُبِّہٖ مِسۡکِیۡنًا وَّیَتِیۡمًا وَّاَسِیۡرًا ﴿۹﴾

And they feed, for love of Him, the poor, the orphan, and the prisoner,

442

اِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُکُمۡ لِوَجۡہِ اللّٰہِ لَا نُرِیۡدُ مِنۡکُمۡ

Saying, ‘We feed you for Allah’s pleasure only. We {do not} desire from you

443

جَزَآءً وَّلَا شُکُوۡرًا

{no} reward nor thanks.

At-Takwir

340

وَاِذَا الۡمَوۡءٗدَۃُ سُئِلَتۡ ۪ۙ﴿۹﴾

And when the girl-child buried alive is questioned about,

340

بِاَیِّ ذَنۡۢبٍ قُتِلَتۡ ۚ﴿۱۰﴾

‘For what crime was she killed?’

Al-Balad

435

تَوَاصَوۡا بِالصَّبۡرِ وَتَوَاصَوۡا بِالۡمَرۡحَمَۃِ

Exhort one another to perseverance and exhort one another to mercy.

Az-Zilzal

30

فَمَنۡ یَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّۃٍ خَیۡرًا یَّرَہٗ ؕ﴿۸﴾

Then whoso does an atom’s weight of good will see it,

56

فَمَنۡ یَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّۃٍ خَیۡرًا یَّرَہٗ ؕ﴿۸﴾

Then whoso does an atom’s weight of good will see it,

An-Nasr

356

اِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ اللّٰہِ وَالۡفَتۡحُ ۙ﴿۲﴾

When the help of Allah comes, and the victory,

356

وَرَاَیۡتَ النَّاسَ یَدۡخُلُوۡنَ

And thou seest men entering

357

فِیۡ دِیۡنِ اللّٰہِ اَفۡوَاجًا ۙ

the religion of Allah in troops,

357

فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّکَ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرۡہُ ؕؔ اِنَّہٗ کَانَ تَوَّابًا ﴿٪۴﴾

Glorify thy Lord, with His praise, and seek forgiveness of Him. Surely He is Oft-Returning with compassion.
