If a book has chapters that have been written by different authors, then it may be beneficial to list the name of each chapter's author in the header. However, if there is only one author and the name of that author has been given earlier, then there may be no need to give the name of the author in the header or the footer. Within the header, the name of the author may be given on the verso with the book title on the recto; however, there is no set rule and variations may be applied as necessary.
