They say i. e. such a one فلان لا يفرق بين الثلة الثلة , does not distinguish between a (thallatun), i. e. a flock of sheep, and as (thullatun), i. e. a company of men. Commentary:. i. e اصحاب الشمال have been called النفس الامارة the Quran describes them as (the spirit prone to evil), i. e. those who choose not to walk in the light of wisdom and knowledge but are led into iniquities and immoral paths. 3073 The word may refer to the early Companions of the Holy Prophet or to the early Companions of any great Divine Reformer, preferably to the former.
