CH. 43 AZ-ZUKHRUF PT. 25 سُبْحَنَ رَبِّ السَّمَوتِ وَالْاَرْضِ Holy is Allah, the Lord of. 83 the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, far above that which they attribute to Him. 3693 84. So leave them alone to indulge in vain discourse and to amuse themselves until they meet that Day of theirs which they have been promised. رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّى يُلْقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ وَهُوَ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ الهُ وَ فِي الْأَرْضِ And He it is Who is God in. 85 الهُ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ heaven, and God on earth; and He is the Wise, the All- Knowing. وَتَبْرَكَ الَّذِى لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَوتِ And blessed is He to. 86 Whom belongs the kingdom of وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۚ وَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ the heavens and the earth and السَّاعَةِ ۚ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ all that is between them, and with Him is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Him shall you be brought back. 3694 23:55; 52:46; 70:43. 6:4. 2:108; 7:159; 57:6. served Him most. (c) The Gracious God certainly has no son (meaning "not") and I am the first to bear witness to this fact (the word signifying all i. e. witnesses). (d) The Gracious God has no son and I am the first disdainful denier of the assertion that He has one. 3693. Commentary: The verse gives two very strong arguments to support the doctrine of the Unity of God: (a) Allah is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. (b) He is the Lord of the Throne. The possession of these attributes by God fully negatives the need of having a son. If God could create the whole universe and could govern and 2868 control it alone, what need had He to have a son? See also 2:117-118. 3694. Commentary: The words "and with Him is the knowledge of the Hour" embody another argument in repudiation of Jesus' "sonship". Here God is said to possess the knowledge of the Hour
