PT. 25 ASH-SHURA CH. 42 أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكُوا شَرَعُوا لَهُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ Have they such associates. 22 of Allah as have made lawful مَا لَمْ يَأْذَنْ بِهِ اللهُ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ for them in religion that which b Allah has not allowed? And but الْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ الظَّلِمِينَ for Our word about the final لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمُ judgement, the matter would have been decided by now between them. And surely the wrongdoers will have a grievous punishment. 23. Thou wilt see تَرَى الظَّلِمِيْنَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا the wrongdoers in fear on account and it is sure to befall them. وَهُوَ وَاقِع بِهِمْ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا of that which they have earned ۚ الصُّلِحَتِ فِي رَوْضَتِ الْجَنَّتِ لَهُمْ مَّا But those who believe and do يَشَاءُونَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الكبير good works will be in Meadows of the Gardens. They shall have with their Lord whatever they will desire. That is the great bounty of God. 3618 ذلِكَ الَّذِي يُبَشِّرُ اللهُ عِبَادَهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا This it is whereof Allah. 24 b وَعَمِلُوا الصّلِحَتِ * قُلْ لا أَسْأَلُكُمُ servants who believe and do gives the glad tidings to His good works. Say: 'I ask of you عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى وَمَنْ no reward for it, except such 2:83; 3:58; 13:30; 22:57; 68:35. 25:58; 38:87. without measure or diminution. 3618. Commentary: The verse constitutes an extension of the subject matter of vv. 19 and 21 above. In v. 19 disbelievers were stated as scornfully rejecting the very idea of a life after death and defiantly demanding its speedy coming but the believers being conscious of their | great responsibilities were described as being afraid of facing it. In this verse it is stated that on the Day of Judgement the tables will be turned upon disbelievers. They will be afraid of confronting the consequences of their evil deeds while believers will be happy in the Gardens of Bliss, basking in the sun of God's love. 2833
