PT. 24 AL-MU'MIN CH. 40 قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ Say, I have been forbidden. 67 to <mark>worship</mark> those <mark>who</mark>m you call مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ لَمَّا الْبَيْتُ upon beside <mark><mark>Allah</mark></mark> since there have come clear proofs unto me مِنْ رَّبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْلِمَ from <mark><mark><mark>my</mark></mark></mark> <mark><mark><mark><mark>Lord</mark></mark></mark></mark>; and I have been لِرَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ commanded to submit <mark><mark><mark>my</mark></mark></mark>self to the <mark><mark><mark><mark>Lord</mark></mark></mark></mark> of the worlds. '3542 هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ He it is <mark>Who</mark> created you. 68 from dust, then from a sperm- نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفلا drop, then from a clot; then He ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُوا ج brings you forth as a child; then He lets you grow that you may that you become old-though some among you are شُيُوخًا وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يَتَوَفَّى مِنْ قَبْلُ attain <mark><mark><mark>your</mark></mark></mark> full strength; then وَلَعَلَّكُمْ caused to وَلِتَبْلُغُوا اَجَلًا مُّسَمًّى وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ die before and that you may reach a term appointed, and that you may learn wisdom. 3543 هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِ وَيُمِيتُ فَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا He it is <mark>Who</mark> gives life and. 69 فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ ® d causes death. Commentary: The verse means to say that when <mark><mark>God</mark></mark> is the sole Creator of heavens | and earth and it is He <mark>Who</mark> has created man and has made full provision for all his physical and spiritual needs, it is inconsistent with reason and highly presumptuous on the part of man to <mark>worship</mark> any being or thing in preference to Him, "the 3543. Commentary: It is the will and decree of <mark><mark>God</mark></mark>, <mark>Who</mark> gives life and causes death, that a people-the Arabs-<mark>who</mark> were morally and spiritually as good as dead, should now rise to a new life through the Holy Prophet; and none can thwart and frustrate His decree. 2793
