CH. 39 AZ-ZUMAR PT. 24 قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا غَيْرَذِي عِوَجٍ لَعَلَّهُمْ the 29. "We have revealed Quran in Arabic wherein there is no deviation from rectitude, يَتَّقُونَ that they may become righteous. 3455 ضَرَبَ اللهُ مَثَلًا رَجُلًا فِيْهِ شُرَكَاءُ Allah sets forth a parable: A. 30 مُتَشْكِسُونَ وَرَجُلًا سَلَمًا لِرَجُلٍ هَلْ partners, disagreeing with one ط يَسْتَوِينِ مَثَلًا اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ وَإِنَّهُمْ مَّيِّتُونَ 6 man belonging to several another, and a man belonging wholly to one man. Are the two equal in condition? All praise belongs to Allah. But most of them know not. 3456 31. Surely, thou wilt die, and surely they too will die. ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيمَةِ عِنْدَرَبِّكُمْ Then surely on the Day of. 32 تَخْتَصِمُونَ Resurrection you will dispute with one another before your Lord. Commentary: The verse very effectively shows how untenable and impossible is the position of a polytheist. He is like a person who has to serve many masters, having interests mutually antagonistic and who also are ill- tempered and quarrelsome. Pitiable indeed is the lot of such a person! Can he be like a true believer who has to serve and please only one is derived from i. e. he was or became refractory, perverse, stubborn or obstinate or evil in disposition or repugnant. As means, they treated one another with harshness; they opposed each other. means, disagreeing with one another or Master God? 2752
