CH. 33 AL-AḤZĀB of him. "And he is honourable in the sight of Allah. 3126 PT. 22 يَا يُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا O ye who believe! fear. 71 سَدِيدًان the Allah, and say straightforward word. 3127 يُصْلِحُ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ He will set right your. 2 ذُنُوبَكُمُ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ your sins. And whoso obeys فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا actions for you and forgive you b Allah and His Messenger, shall surely attain a mighty success. إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْأَمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمواتِ Verily, We offered the Trust. 73 to the heavens and the earth and وَالْأَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَأَبَيْنَ أَنْ يَحْمِلْنَهَا the mountains, but they refused وَاشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْإِنْسَانُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا to bear it and were afraid of it. But man bore it. Indeed, he is capable of being unjust to, and neglectful of, himself. 3128 3126. Commentary: "19:52. 4:14; 24:53; 48:18. From the Bible (Num. 12:1-10) and other Jewish literature it appears that Moses was made the butt of serious calumnies, some of which were: (1) Korah induced a woman to bring against Moses a charge of illicit connection with her. (b) Having become jealous of Aaron's increasing influence with his people, Moses sought to kill him. (3) Moses was a victim of leprosy and syphilis; and (4) Samiri charged him with idolatry. The Holy Prophet bore very close resemblance to Moses. Similar allegations were bound to be made against him. God, however, cleared both these noble Prophets of the wicked charges brought against them by their enemies and thus nullified 2592 their nefarious designs. 3127. Commentary: The Surah, as mentioned above, deals with some of the most important laws of the Shari'ah. Quite appropriately it closes with a basic direction in this respect. The direction is to the effect that believers should always be on their guard against incurring the displeasure of God by unseemly conduct and should be scrupulously straightforward dealings with other people. 3128.
