CH. 29 AL-'ANKABŪT PT. 21 فَإِذَارَ كِبُوا فِي الْفُلْكِ دَعَوُا اللهَ مُخْلِصِينَ And when they go on board. 66 لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجُهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ إِذَاهُمُ sincere and single-minded faith يُشركون وقفة a ship, they call on Allah, with in Him. But when He brings them safe to land, behold, they associate partners with Him again; لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا أَتَيْنْهُمْ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا That they may deny that. 67 which We have bestowed on them, and that they may enjoy themselves for a time. But they will soon come to know the consequences of their conduct. فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اَنَّا جَعَلْنَا حَرَمًا مِنَّا Have they not seen that We. 68 وَيُتَخَطَّفُ النَّاسُ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ for them, while people are have made the sanctuary secure snatched away from all around أَفَبِالْبَاطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَةِ اللهِ them? The purposeful life is that which is spent in the quest of a sublime object, in preparation for everlasting life for which God has created man. 2986. Commentary: This verse constitutes a standing testimony to Ka'bah being God's own Sacred House. Ever since the advent of Islam when it was Divinely declared to be humanity's everlasting Qiblah and even in the days of Ignorance when the Arabs had no respect for human life, the territory called the Haram-the precincts of the Ka'bah, remained a haven of safety. While there was no safety outside, complete security and peace reigned in it. 2492
