PT. 20 AL-QASAS 14. Thus did We restore him to his mother that her eye might be CH. 28 فَرَدَدْتُهُ إِلَى أُمِّهِ كَيْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ اللهِ حَقٌّ وَلَكِنَّ gladdened and that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the promise of Allah is & اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ true. But most of them know not. R. 2. وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَاسْتَوَى أَتَيْنَهُ حُكْمًا And when he reached his. 15 age of full strength and attained maturity, We gave him wisdom and knowledge; and thus do We reward those who do good. 2886 وَعِلْمًا وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ And one day he entered the. 16 أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيْهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلن هَذَا مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ وَهَذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ city at a time when its inhabitants were in a state of heedlessness; and he found therein two men fighting—one الَّذِي مِنْ شِيْعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّم of his own party, and the other of his enemies. And he who was B فَوَكَزَهُ مُوْسٰى فَقَضَى عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هُذَا of his party sought his help against him who was of his مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَنِ إِنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلُّ enemies. So Moses struck him a12:23; 46:16. 20:41; 26:20. They say i. e. he cut it; or he in the house of a powerful monarch clipped it. means, he followed, of the time he must have had the best or followed after, his track, or tutors to teach him the current footsteps, in pursuit; he endeavoured sciences. His physical development to trace or track him; he endeavoured must also have been perfect as is to trace him by degrees, or by night | apparent from 28:16; and he must or at any time (Lane & Aqrab). See | have been inspired by noble ideals. also 7:177 & 12:4. 2886. Commentary: Moses was fully equipped with temporal as well as divine knowledge. Having been brought up | 2435 As God had marked him out for a great destiny, he was endowed with wisdom and spiritual knowledge in a very large measure. By the time Moses had attained maturity he was a i. e. a constant doer of good deeds.
