CH. 27 AN-NAML PT. 20 فِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهَا بَلْ هُمْ مِنْهَا عَمُوْنَ reached its end, nay, they are indeed in doubt about it; nay, they are blind to it. 2858A R. 6. وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُواءَ إِذا كنت And those who disbelieve. 68 say, 'What! when we and our fathers have become dust, shall we indeed be brought forth again?2859 وَابَاؤُنَا أَبِنَّا لَمُخْرَجُوْنَ ) لَقَدْوَ عِدْنَا هَذَا نَحْنُ وَبَاؤُنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ We were surely promised. 69 إنْ هُذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ this before we and our fathers; this is nothing but tales of the ancients. " قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ Say, “Travel in the earth. 70 and see how evil was the end of "13:6; 37:17; 50:4. 23:84. 16:37; 30:43; 40:83. 2858A. Important Words: أدركه. consecutiveness (has reached its end) is derived from S. They say (darraka) i. e. the rain dropped with close means, he attained, reached or overtook him. Sor means, they attained, reached, overtook one another so as the last of them met with the first of them. ¿ opal means, their knowledge with regard to the meeting of the Hereafter has reached its end i. e. they have become devoid of knowledge about it. See also 7:39. Commentary: No amount of human knowledge and intelligence alone can satisfy the craving of the human soul after God, or can prove beyond doubt the existence of God and life after death, the two most fundamental of all religious beliefs, because their full 2418 comprehension is beyond human ken. It is divine knowledge acquired through Divine revelation that can and does actually engender certainty in human mind about these two basic religious problems. Man's knowledge can, at best, lead to the conclusion that there must be a Divine Being and a life after death but it is Divine revelation alone that can change this "must be" into a certain "is. " 2859. Commentary: This and the next few verses deal with a worn out and hackneyed objection of disbelievers about life after death. It further says that these people—the Arabs, have completely despaired of their future. They do not believe that the appearance of the Holy Prophet will raise them from a degraded and corrupt people into a living nation and therefore instead of accepting him, they oppose him.
