PT. 20 AN-NAML CH. 27 قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَّمٌ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَى اللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ) R. 5. 60. Say, “All praise belongs to Allah, and peace be upon those servants of His whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him?'2853 61. Or, Who created heavens and the earth, and أَمَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَوتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَأَنْزَلَ the لَكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِهِ حَدَابِقَ Who sent down water for you ذَاتَ بَهْجَةٍ مَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُنْبِتُوا beautiful شَجَرَهَا ءَ الهُ مَّعَ اللهِ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ يَعْدِلُونَ أَمَّنْ جَعَلَ الْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَ جَعَلَ خِللَهَا from the sky wherewith We cause to grow orchards? You could not cause their trees to grow. Is there a god besides Allah? Nay, they are a people who deviate from the right path. 2854 62. Or, Who made the earth a place of rest, and placed rivers أَنْهَرا وَ جَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَ in its midst, and placed upon it ط firm mountains, and put a barrier between the two waters? الْبَحْرَيْنِ حَاجِرًا * وَإِلَهُ مَّعَ اللهِ a37:182-183. 31:11; 50:10. 6:2. 20:54; 78:7. 25:54; 55:20-21. against good people. So did the great Power and Unity. people of Lot. 2853. Commentary: With this verse is closed the discourse about Moses, David, Solomon, Ṣāliḥ and Lot with an invocation of divine peace and blessings on God's Messengers and His Elect to whom humanity is indebted for all that is good and virtuous in the world, and then the Surah proceeds to give arguments in support of the existence of God, His 2854. Commentary: The first argument in favour of the subject introduced in the preceding verse is taken from nature-from the creation of heavens and earth, from the coming down of rain and the life it gives to the dead earth and from mountains and rivers. All these things point to the existence of a great Divine Being Who is One and Unique in His marvellous powers and attributes. 2415
