CH. 25 AL-FURQAN PT. 18 وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ And the day when He will. 18 اللهِ فَيَقُولُ وَأَنْتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِى they worship beside Allah, He هَؤُلَاءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُوا السَّبِيْلَ assemble them and those whom will ask, ‘Was it you who led astray these My servants, or did they themselves stray away from the path?'2655 Thou! It was not proper for us قَالُوا سُبْحَنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنْبَغِي لَنَا اَنْ They will say, “Holy art. 19 نَّتَّخِذَ مِنْ دُونِكَ مِنْ اَوْلِيَاء وَلَكِنْ to take protectors other than مَّتَعْتَهُمْ وَابَاءَهُمْ حَتَّى نَسُوا الذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا بُورًا Thee; but Thou didst bestow on them and their fathers the good things of this life until they forgot the admonition and became a ruined people. '2656 "10:29; 15:26; 34:41. '34:42. and righteousness they would have led. They will, therefore, have the Gardens of Eternity as a matter of right. No conditions will attach to the promise about these "Gardens". The words, "they will have therein whatever they desire", signify that the desires of believers will, in the next life, become identified with the will of God. So naturally all their desires will be satisfied. In this world also a believer attains to this high stage when he so merges his will in the Divine will that his will becomes the will of God Himself. In fact, in order to gain Paradise in this world and in the next the believer should attain to the high stage of self-effacement and of being at one with God. 2655. Commentary: blessings that the believers will enjoy, the disbelievers will be called to account for their polytheistic beliefs and evil practices. Even the false gods of disbelievers will have to explain how far the responsibility for the idolatrous beliefs of their so- called followers lay on them. 2656. Important Words: بار ruined is derived from) بورا which means, he or it perished. They Sayi. e. the market became dull. means, the work became means, the بارت الارض. null and void land was or became uncultivated. The Arabic saying means, they و became extinct and perished. means, a bad and corrupt man or people; a ruined man or people; a man or people in a state of perdition In contrast to the boons and (Lane & Aqrab). 2310
