CH. 22 وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَى عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ. PT. 17 AL-HAJJ friends with him, him he will lead astray and will guide him to the punishment of the Fire. 2440 يَايُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّنَ O people, if you are in doubt. 6 concerning the Resurrection, الْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ then consider that We have indeed created you from dust, مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ مُضْغَةٍ then from a sperm drop, then مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ from clotted blood, then from a وَنُقِرُّ فِي الْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَاءُ إِلَى أَجَلٍ and partly unformed, in order مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفَلًا ثُمَّ E lump of flesh, partly formed that We may make Our power manifest to you. "And We cause what We will to remain in the then We bring you forth as babes; then We rear you that of full strength. And there are لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ وَمِنْكُمْ مَّنْ يُتَوَفَّى ;wombs for an appointed term وَمِنْكُمْ مَّنْ يُرَدُّ إِلَى أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنْ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا وَتَرَى الْأَرْضَ you may attain to your age هَا مِدَةً فَإِذَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاء اهْتَزَّتْ some of you who are caused to وربَتْ وَأَنْبَتَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ يَه die prematurely, and there are others among you who are driven to the worst part of life a13:9; 35:12; 41:48. 16:71; 36:69. among men, however, will certainly be punished for their wicked deeds. See also 2:35, 37. 2440. Commentary: 101; 17:66). The expression (guides him) contains a beautiful irony. i. e. Satan 'guides' disbelievers to the fire of Hell as if the fire of Hell is a thing to which they would like to be guided. It is of interest to note that whereas for the righteous it is said that "are on guidance" or, in other words, they are mounted on guidance, for the wicked it is said that they are led or The verse makes it clear that only those are led astray by Satan who first make friends with him and follow him. At another place the Quran says that Satan has no power over the true servants of God. It is only those who accept his evil suggestions and follow him that fall victim to him (16:100- | driven to Hell. 2133
