PT. 17 AL-ANBIYA' CH. 21 لَهُمْ فِيْهَازَ فِيْرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ Therein groaning will be. 101 لا their lot and they will not hear therein anything else. 2427 اِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِنَّا الْحُسْنَى But has for those for whom. 102 the promise of a good reward has already gone forth from Us, these will be removed far from it. 2428 أوليك عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيْسَهَا وَهُمْ فِي مَا They will not hear the. 103 اشْتَهَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ خَلِدُونَ لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْاَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقُهُمُ slightest sound thereof; Cand they shall abide in that which their souls desire. 2429 104. Commentary: besides the وهم فيها لا يسمعون The words meaning given in the text may also mean, they will not hear anything that will give solace and comfort to them; and (2) there will be so much crying and shrieking and wailing in Hell that its inmates will not hear each other's voice. If "the fire of Hell" referred to in the preceding two verses may mean the fire of disgrace and humiliation in this world, then the words "they will not hear" would mean that they (the 2121 disbelievers) would not listen to the voice of God's Messengers. 2428. Commentary: This and the next verse show that the righteous servants of God will be kept far away from Hell, and will not even hear its slightest sound, much less enter it as is generally misunderstood from 19:72.
