PT. 10 CH. 9 86. Commentary: which are active خالفة and خالف both The words, Leave us that we be participles from the verb which with those who sit at home, need not be taken to have been actually uttered by the hypocrites. They simply express a state of affairs implying that the hypocrites came to the Holy Prophet with various excuses, asking his leave to stay behind. 1239. Important Words: means, he remained or came after. means, one who remains behind or after others, particularly in case of war, the word as being its feminine gender. So means, those who remain behind during war; or the women (or children) remaining behind in houses or tents.
