PT. 6 فَضْلِهِ ۚ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْتَنْكَفُوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا CH. 4 AN-NISA' in full and will give them more out of His bounty; but as for those who disdained and were proud, He will punish them with a painful punishment. And "they shall find for themselves beside Allah no friend nor helper. يَذِبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا ۖ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ بعد لَهُم مِّنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا يَايُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بُرْهَانٌ مِنْ O ye people, a manifest. 175 رَّبِّكُمْ وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ نُورًا مُّبِينًا proof has indeed come to you from your Lord, band We have sent down to you a clear light. 637 176. So, as believe in Allah and hold fast فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاعْتَصَمُوا بِه for those who لا فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِي رَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ to Him, He will surely admit a them to His mercy and grace and will guide them on straight path leading to Himself. 638 177. They ask thee instructions. Say, Allah gives وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَيْهِ صِرَاطًا مُسْتَقِيمَان يَسْتَفْتُوْنَكَ قُلِ اللهُ يُفْتِيْكُمْ فِي الْكَللَةِ for اِنِ امْرُ وا هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَّلَةٌ you His instructions concerning a4:46; 33:18, 66. b7:158; 64:9. 3:102; 4:147. d4:13. 637. Commentary: The word (manifest proof) may either refer to the Quran with its great and manifest Signs, or to the person of the Holy Prophet who, by his personal example, demonstrated to the world that the Quranic teachings were a great blessing for mankind. The words (a clear light) may also either refer to the Holy Prophet or to the Quran which supplies the | 738 clearest of light for all spiritual wayfarers. The verse thus also incidentally constitutes a repudiation of the Christian dictum that the Shari'ah is a curse. 638. Commentary: The words, hold fast to Him, imply a forceful exhortation to Christians not to take Jesus as a deity but to look upon, and hold fast to, God alone as the means of their salvation and advancement.
