CH. 4 AN-NISA' PT. 5 وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ And what is the matter with. 76 you that you fight not in the وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ cause of Allah and of the وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا weak-men, women and children who say, 'Our Lord, مِنْ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا take us out of this town, whose people are oppressors, and make for us some friend from Thyself, and make for us from Thyself some helper. '545 وَاجْعَلْ لَّنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ نَصِيرًان الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ Those who believe fight in. 77 the cause of Allah, and those وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيْلِ who disbelieve fight in the الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُوا اَوْلِيَاءَ الشَّيْطَنِ إِنَّ cause of the Evil One. Fight ye therefore against the friends of Satan; surely, Satan's strategy is & weak! Commentary: The verse is a clear proof of the fact that Muslims were not the first to open hostilities.
