690 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI UL-WASĀWIS I was informed in a dream that the seat of Shaikh Ṣāḥib is on fire, and my humble self has put out the fire by repeatedly pour- ing water over it. God Almighty instantly conveyed its interpretation to me with firm conviction that Shaikh [Mehr ‘Alī] Ṣāḥib and his honour would be afflicted with a great misfortune and my pouring water on it meant that the misfortune would be finally repelled by my prayer and not through any other means. This good news was conveyed in brief words to his son. These are the real facts regarding the matter, but it has been heard subsequently that Shaikh Ṣāḥib denies receiving the let- ter about acquittal, making people conclude as if my humble self told a lie. To put an end to this mischief, I asked Shaikh
