SHAIKH MEHR ALI, CHIEF OF HOSHIARPUR 1 بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنُصَلِّن 2 تا دل مردِ خدا نامد بدرد پیچ قومی را خدا رسوا نه کرد Until the heart of a man of God is tormented, God does not disgrace any nation. لا إِنَّ الإِنسَانَ لَيَطْغَى أَنْ رَاهُ اسْتَغْفى 30 Despite being utterly insignificant and a particle of dust, how quickly does man forget his helplessness! If his pain is some- what relieved and he is able to turn from one side to the other in comfort, he immediately changes his tone of humility. Almost everyone in the Punjab must be familiar with Shaikh Mehr Ali, Chief of Hoshiarpur. I think that due to some of his hidden errors, which are best known to God Almighty, he was apprehended in an unjustified case. That incident must be known even to the children and women of our country. this time, I am not at all concerned with raising the annulled event.
