SIGN OF THE DAY OF JUDGMENT 619 1 in his Ṣaḥīḥ about fixing a specific date for a gathering of seekers of ,that is ; مَنْ جَعَلَ لِأَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَيَّامًا مَعْلُومَةً religious knowledge. It is entitled fixing specific dates for the benefit of seekers of religious knowledge was the practice of some of the Companions. To prove this point, Imām Bukhārī narrates from Abi Wa’il in his Ṣaḥīḥ: LES OB meaning that Abdullah had fixed Thursday as the day ; فِي كُلِّ خَمِيسِ. for delivering his admonitions, and people used to gather for learning on that day. It may also be borne in mind that Allah, glorified be His eminence, has commanded us in the Holy Quran to make use of planning and effective management. He has enjoined us to adopt what we consider to be the best plan and arrangement for serving the Faith and overpow- ering enemies, as He, hallowed be His name, says: واعد والَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ Meaning that, make all needed preparations you can to counter the enemy and use all your power to propagate the message of Islam. See how vehemently this verse enjoins that all possible strategies that can prove successful to serve Islam be adopted and that all faculties of your mind and limbs, and all power of your wealth together with the best of planning and most appropriate tactics be employed so that you may be victorious. The ignorant and blind maulawis who are the enemies of the Faith now label this striving and planning as ‘innovation. These people of our times who are not even cognizant of the Holy Quran are called scholars. [Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return]. ³ و 1.
