608 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS himself as well as about me and my honoured and respected friends, then such a person is worthy of punishment to some degree that being himself a kadhdhāb and dajjāl, he blatantly publicizes others as being the liars. It should also be remembered that my humble self is truly very weak and insignificant as if nothing at all. Nonetheless, God Almighty has willed to smash the head of the haughty and to show him what heavenly support means. A few months ago—I do not recall the exact date I saw an article by Miyań Muhammad Husain in which it was written about me that this person is a kadhdhāb, dajjāl, faithless, and together with this, extremely foolish and ignorant and lacks knowledge of the religious sciences. I then cried in the court of the Divine asking for His help. After the supplication, I received the ilham [revelation]: ادْعُوْنِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ Meaning that: Pray unto Me, I shall answer your prayer. However, I was naturally loath to praying for the punishment of any- one, but today 29 Sha'bān 1310 AH—at the time of writing this essay, God Almighty unlocked my heart for supplication. So at that moment I prayed in this very condition with a weeping heart to gain victory in this competition. My heart was set free and I know that my prayer had been accepted. I also know that the ilham which I had received con- cerning Miyań [Muḥammad Ḥusain] Batālawi that: إِنِّي مُهِينٌ مِّنْ أَرَادَ إِهَانَتَكَ. [I shall humiliate him who designs to humiliate you. ] was with reference to this very situation. I have appointed a period of forty days for this competition in my supplication, and the same time frame flowed from my tongue.
