583 AL-QAŞIDAH-AN ODE IN PRAISE OF THE HOLY PROPHET $as وَاللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيَتُ جَمَالَهُ بِعُيُونِ جِسْمِي قَاعِدًا بِمَكَانِيْ I call Allah to witness that I have seen his beauty With my physical eyes, while sitting in my own home. هَا إِنْ تَطَنَّيْتَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَائِشًا فَعَلَيْكَ إِثْبَاتًا مِنَ الْبُرْهَانِ Look! If you think that the Son of Mary is alive, Then produce your proof with arguments. أَفَانتَ لَاقَيْتَ الْمَسِيحَ بِتَقْظَةٍ أو جَاءَكَ الْأَنْبَاءُ مِنْ يَقْطَانِ Have you ever seen Jesus the Messiah while you were awake? Or has any living man given you the news that he has seen him? أنظر إلَى الْقُرْآنِ كَيْفَ يُبَيِّنُ أَفَانتَ تُعْرِضُ عَنْ هُدَى الرَّحْمَانِ Look at the Quran how clearly it declares his death! Would you turn away from the guidance of ar-Rahman [the Gracious]? فَاعْلَمْ بِأَنَّ الْعَيْشَ لَيْسَ بِثَابِتٍ وَنَبِيَّنَا حَيَّ وَإِنِّي وَإِنِّي شَاهِدٌ بَلْ مَاتَ عِيْسَى مِثْلَ عَبْدٍ فَانِ Know that there is no proof of his life. Indeed Jesus died as all mortal men die. وَقَدِ اقْتَطَفْتُ قَطَائِفَ اللُّقْيَانِ But our Prophet is alive, and I bear witness to his life; And I have tasted the sweetness of being in his audience many a time. وَرَأَيْتُ فِي رَيْعَانِ عُمْرِكْ وَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ النَّبِيُّ بِيَقْطَتِي لَا قَانِي I saw his blessed face even when I was young, And he also met me when I was fully awake. إِنِّي لَقَدْ أُحْيِيْتُ مِنْ إِحْيَائِهِ وَاهَا لِإِعْجَازِ فَمَا أَحْيَانِي I am certainly among those whom he raised to life. What a miracle! How well he raised me to life!
