A'INA-E-KAMALAT-E-ISLAM-DAFI UL-WASĀWIS يَا عَيْنَ فَيْضِ اللَّهِ وَالْعِرْفَانِ يَسْعَى إِلَيْكَ الْخَلْقُ كَالظَّمْآنِ Oye the fountain of Allah's grace and divine knowledge! People throng towards you like the thirsty. يَا بَحْرَ فَضْلِ الْمُنْعِمِ الْمَنَّانِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْكَ الزُّمَرُ بالكِيزَانِ O ye the ocean of the grace of the Benefactor and Bountiful God! يَا شَمْسَ مُلْكِ الْحُسْنِ وَالْإِحْسَانِ People flock to you with empty cups. نورُتَ وَجْهَ الْبَرِّ وَالْعُمْرَانِ Oye the sun of the kingdom of beauty and grace! You have illuminated the deserts as well as habitations. قَوْمٌ رَأَوْكَ وَأُمَّةٌ قَدْ أُخْبِرَتْ من ذلِكَ الْبَدْرِ الَّذِي أَصْبَانِي A people beheld you, and a nation was informed of that full moon who has enchanted me. يَبْكُونَ مِنْ ذِكْرِ الْجَمَالِ صَبَابَةً وَتَالُّمًا مِّنْ لَّوْعَةِ الْهِجْرَانِ They shed tears in passionate longing at the remembrance of your beauty; And the pangs of separation from you: make them cry. وَأَرَى الْقُلُوبَ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كُرْبَةً وَأَرَى الْغُرُوبَ تُسِيلُهَا الْعَيْنَانِ I see their hearts in such anxiety as if they have reached their throats; I see their eyes flowing with tears. يَا مَنْ غَدَا فِي نُوْرِهِ وَضِيَائِهِ كَالنَّيِّرَيْنِ وتور الْمَلَوَانِ Oye who art the sun and moon of light! You have illuminated the day and the night. يَا بَدْرَنَا يَا آيَةَ الرَّحْمَنِ أهْدَى الْهُدَاةِ وَأَشْجَعَ الشُّجْعَانِ O ye our full moon! O ye Sign of ar-Rahman [the Gracious]! Oye the best guided of all guides and the bravest of the brave! 576
