And whatever impurities had crept into the helpless nation of that previous Prophet, this person eradicates them and fulfils the void. This is one of the celestial mysteries which cannot be comprehended by shallow intellects. Its understanding is bestowed only upon those who have been given knowledge by Allah. It is impossible for an inflamed eye to see the new moon. So, blessed are those who have been given wisdom. It is an age-old practice of Allah that He unveils all aspects of a prophecy that pertains to the future only when the appointed time of its fulfilment approaches. Before this appointed time approaches, some sophisticated matters and hidden meanings remain veiled, which, later become a source of trial for those who happen to live in the prophesied time. During their age, Allah breaks that seal so that they are put into trial, whereby they are either honoured or disgraced. His practice of putting the Muslims to trial has already been established in the past. ¹ 1. The fundamental and supreme guardian in the paths of visions, which serves as a protecting law against misunderstanding in the interpretation of proph- ecies occurring in this physical world, is the knowledge of dream interpreta- tion that is conferred upon the truthful ones. It is not permissible to divert a matter of vision from the interpretations explicitly stated in this knowledge except when there exists strong evidence leading to certainty. Since this knowledge has been established as a revealing language for the secrets of visions, its rules have been perfected and following them has been made obligatory for believers. Just as the commonly used languages that flow on tongues are decisive in resolving linguistic disputes in the lower world and serve as conclusive evi- dence for speakers, similarly the knowledge of dream interpretation and its rules, which have been arranged by the Eternal Tongue, are an accepted judg- ment for resolving disputes about visions, and whoever refuses this judgment has indeed committed a great injustice and is among the wrongdoers. For example, if you wear shoes in your dream, it is not permissible for you in its interpretation to take the meaning of shoes as it is understood in the languages of this lower world. Rather, you must refer to the language that Allah has established for that spiritual knowledge, so you should interpret shoes as a wife or expansion in livelihood. Acknowledge this secret, for it will save you from the afflictions of those who err. -Author
