508 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS them, revolts against them, or fights with them, they are the ones who transgress the limits prescribed by Allah and His Prophetsas, and it is they who are the ignorant. It is indeed wrong for the believers to be ungrateful to them unless they themselves change. It does not behove a male or female believer to disobey such a King who protects their hon- our and possessions, spreads goodness, removes pain, and promotes the welfare of the people. O ye who seek guidance! Adhere to this advice. Pay heed to Allah's command, and do not incline towards selfish desires. Pay no attention to the views of the ulema who issue decrees without true knowledge. They have gone astray, and try to lead others astray as well. Indeed, as we have observed many a favour and great bounty from this Queen of India, how can we forget them and be ungrateful to her? In fact, Allah is not pleased with ingratitude in His servants while they have been blessed. Undoubtedly, this Queen is one of the two sheltering wings for the Muslims, the guardian of the Signs of Islam, and is from among those who are kind and generous. Her person is a kind of blessing for us, and her generosity to us is akin to the raining clouds. She is not pleased to inflict any pain on us and Allah has held her back from any oppression and negligence. She brought many a people under her vast protection, each rejoic- ing at her kindness. She has nothing to do with the disorder, transgres- sion, and toxic atmosphere of the priests, nor the prevalence of phil- osophical evils and their ideological spread; this Government is not guilty of supporting these, rather this is the result of the absolute free- dom granted to every people. The law of the Queen gave no preferen- tial right to the priests over the Muslims, instead they are being treated even handedly. Then why do the doubters doubt? He who considers that the priests are a part of the various branches of this Government, and that they preach under her command, has indeed strayed far away, and has come to be among the wrongdoers.
