494 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS the Hereafter, and made me among those who are helped. He addressed me and said: يَا أَحْمَدِيْ أَنْتَ مُرَادِيْ وَمَعِنْ أَنْتَ مِنّى بِمَنْزِلَةِ تَوْحِيدِى وَتَفْرِيْدِي. فَحَانَ أَنْ تُعَانَ وَتُعْرَفَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَنْتَ مِنّى بِمَنزِلَةٍ لَّا يَعْلَمُهَا الْخَلْقُ. O My Ahmad! You are My purpose and are with Me, you are to Me as My Tauḥīd [Oneness] and Tafrīd [Uniqueness]. The time has come that you should be helped and be made well known in the world. You are to Me in such an ultimate nearness of which the people cannot have any knowledge. He addressed me with such words, that were I granted even the whole world it would not have pleased me as much as these affectionate words have pleased me. My soul is sacrificed in His way; He is my Guardian in this world and the Hereafter. I am never afflicted with any thirst, fatigue, or hunger, but He comes to my help. I see His bounties descending unceasingly upon me like those who tirelessly continue to perform their jobs. Among the Signs of my truthfulness is that He has granted me the knowledge of the Quran and revealed to me the subtle points of the Furqan [Holy Quran] —those that none can touch except those who are purified. Among the Signs of my truthfulness is that He has taught me good manners; refined my etiquette; and made patience, obedience, and compliance to my Lord, and following my Prophet as my disposition. He laid the treasures of true knowledge in my nature, revealed to me the true understanding of the good and evil aspects in different mat- ters, and included me among those who are singularly unique in this regard. O ye noble Arabs! The pious of the Two Holy Sanctuaries! These are the tidings and exhortations I have presented before the ulema of India. I warned them but they paid no heed; I admonished them but they did not learn their lesson; I awakened them but they did not rise.
