492 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS by debauchery and impertinence. Thus, Allah willed to safeguard the honour of His Book and the followers of His religion against the evil consequences of these strange ideas, as He has promised in His Word: إنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِكرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحفِظُونَ So He fulfilled His promise and helped His servant with His grace and mercy and revealed to me that I might warn the people. He has sent down many fine points of wisdom, knowledge, and manifestations of support from heaven to me so that He may rebut the peculiar arguments of the Christians and break their cross, prove their literature and scholars to be worthless, demolish their arguments, and render their old and new ones speechless. In fact, the manifestation of the abstruse phenomena of the world and its mischief is termed the Promised Dajjal [Antichrist], and the manifestation of the heavenly miracles and its light is termed the Promised Messiah. These two are adversaries who face each other in the same era. The listeners should listen carefully! The first of the many Signs of my truthfulness is that I have been sent at the time of the many disorders to which the Book of Allah has alluded. Thus, Allah has sent me down from heaven just as He has manifested disorders from the earth, and He spoke in metaphors and helped me as the truthful are helped. Look at the past ages since Allah created man. Have such immense upheavals ever spread and over- come the world, or have you ever heard about them or the like of their extraordinary phenomena in generations past? What is the matter with you! You do not reflect. Don't you see how the Signs of Allah are being rejected by the discourses of the philoso- phers, and they are ridiculed and thousands of books have been written in their refutation? 1. Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian (Surah al-Hijr, 15:10). [Publisher]
