AT-TABLIGH―TO THE NOBLE AND PIOUS OF THE ARABS 485 Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), totally alienating themselves from the orders of their selves and are fully imbued with the commandments issued from the Holy Prophetas. In short, their hearts are filled with the knowledge of the Prophet sas and they are granted a share from his lights, and it is from his spring that they drink. They are given a goodly share of purity and wisdom and drink from a cup that is tempered with the water of Tasnim. ' They are purified with the glory of Allah and His majesty and through His protection are they saved. Then such a pious one becomes their heir who listens to their words with good intentions and humility, and follows them, remain- ing attached to them. He, overcoming his personal constraints, gives self-negating preference to their souls and fuses into them with his love. He then emerges as a hidden gem. Praise be to Allah who has made me one of them. Whoever wants to try me is free to do SO. In fact, I have come to them from my Lord with wisdom and insight to clarify to them their differences. They have split Islam into sects and made its followers split into many denominations. They attack each other and declare others disbelievers. Now, I call them to open ground for a battle. Is any one of them ready for combat? I called them to combat, but they turned away. Have they determined upon a course? Then surely, we too are determined. Do they think that Allah will not separate the bad from the good? What is the matter with them—how strangely do they think? Hence, I entrust my affairs to Allah and turn away from them; soon they will come to know. From among the Signs of the Latter Days which have been revealed in the Holy Quran by Allah the Almighty are those rare events you observe and experience in this age. Indeed, He has manifested its Signs for us: 1. (Tasnim) is taken to be a fountain in Paradise.
