476 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS His mercy, yet expose to the world his sincerity and submission for his Lord, and that He may try Abraham in his truthfulness, loyalty, and submission to his Lord. So, Abraham immediately threw his beloved son down on his forehead to slaughter him. O my Lord! Have mercy on us through Your Prophet sas and Abraham who remained loyal, saw Your blessings, and achieved goodness and prosperity. This affair resembles that of the Dajjāl [the Antichrist] because it has been made frightening, fearsome, intense, and awe-striking, and its matter has been described at length. Indeed, that affair is nothing but a well-connected sequence of the evil inten- tions of the Dajjal that is completely devoid of the fragrance of Divinity and the attributes of Allah. It is nothing but an invitation towards mis- chief, malicious designs, and misguided temptations; indeed, it is a trial from Allah, the Self-Sufficient. How can there be an equal to the Creator who holds sway over the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and who carries Heaven, Hell, and all the treasures of the earth with Him? The clouds of the sky, the water of the ocean, and the sun of the sky obey His command, and He gives life and causes death. Holy is He who is without blemish and has no equal. He is Glorious and Exalted. Nay, but it is rather a sub- tle metaphor pointing towards a people who shall behave arrogantly in the earth and shall hasten forth from every height. These are the Christian people who are far advanced in deceit and fabrication, and they have populated the earth more than it had ever been populated. You see extraordinary qualities in their accomplishments, which capti- vate us. The whole world is awestruck by their inventions and unique artifice, and they have caused many people to go astray through their innovations and deceit. Their deceptive fabrications have encompassed the whole earth, made its face filthy, and confused falsehood with the truth. They call people towards polytheism, impertinence, and athe- ism-this is how they entice. How could it be possible for the Dajjal to appear from the Jewish people, for they were smitten with abasement and wretchedness till the Day of Resurrection, and would never have
