468 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS discover its sources in the clearest and most evident manner, then lis- ten heedfully! I will reveal to you what my Lord has taught me about this matter from the secrets of guidance. It is that verily Allah saw in this age the complete dominance of the Christians and their fallacious dogmas. He saw that not only were they themselves misled, but they were misleading a great number of people as well. They have soiled the earth with the impurity of their polytheism and apostasy; wrought much corruption therein; disseminated their falsehood, fabrications and concocted lies; and opened the floodgates of sin and evil tenden- cies. Eventually, the wrath of Allah Almighty was enraged by seeing this great disorder and the Jealous [in point of love and honour] Lord revealed to His Word and Prophet [i. e. Jesus] about the trials of his followers, their mischief throughout the world, and their evil deeds. This is the way in which God reveals tidings, and you will never find any change or alteration in the ways of Allah. When the Messiah [Jesus] heard that his followers have ruined the people of the earth and determined to waylay all of them, and rebelled a great rebellion against their Lord, then his pain and worry grew, he swelled with pity for his people, and he was overcome by sorrow and grief like the one who would try hard to help out the devastated, or like him upon whom it was quite obligatory to help the oppressed, and so he besought a Vicegerent from Allah. He desired his Vicegerent to be in unity with his true nature, to bear resemblance to his essence, to work as his limbs in order to fulfil his objectives, and to be a manifes- tation of his goals. Therefore, in order to fulfil his desire he turned his focus to this earthly world and besought the Divine decree to grant him a Vicegerent who would display his true image as a pond reflects the clear images of stars in the high heavens. I am that very Vicegerent whom-in honour to His glory-Allah has sent during the age of the predominance of Christianity in order to console the soul of the Messiah [Jesus] and as a mercy to the whole world and as compassion upon the condition of creation.
