AT-TABLIGH- TO ELDERS OF INDIA, AFGHANISTAN, EGYPT & BEYOND 443 So fear Allah, O men endowed with reason! We believe in what Allah has disclosed to us that ‘Īsā ibn Maryam [Jesus son of Mary] has passed away, joined his pious brethren Prophets, and has been raised to a place where Yahyā [John the Baptist] is. We also believe that our Messenger is Khairur-Rusul [the Best of all Messengers], Afdalul-Mursalin [more exalted than all of them], and Khātamun-Nabiyyīn [the Seal of all the Prophets]—exalted above all who will ever come or who have passed away. He made me at one with his blessed being and nourished me with his holy and purified hand and showed me his glory and sovereignty and revealed unto me his sublime secrets. We also believe that every verse of the Quran is a surging sea filled with subtleties of guidance, and that anything that contradicts it and goes against its account of historical facts and the knowledge of this world and the Hereafter is absolutely false. We believe that Heaven is real, Hell is real, the resurrection of bodies is real and the miracles of the Prophets are real, and we believe that salvation lies in Islam and following our Prophetsas, the chief of all Creation. We are absolved of everything that is against Islam. We believe in everything which our Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has brought, even if we may not grasp its sublime essence. Whoever says anything contrary to this about us, merely lies and fabricates about us. So fear Allah and do not affirm the statements of an avaricious and mean one who charges at me like a serpent, indulges in accusing me with disbelief on account of his deficient judgement and follows his evil desires. Know for certain that Islam is my religion and in the Oneness of God lies my firm faith, and that my heart has neither erred nor gone astray. He who has abandoned the Quran and follows erroneous specula- tions is like a person who has been savagely attacked and has been thrown into a deadly pit and destroyed. Allah knows that I love Islam and I am ready to sacrifice my life for the Khairul-Anām [Best of Mankind] and I am only a servant of Ahmad, Mustafa [the Chosen One], who was made dear to me ever since my boyhood and adolescence.
