AT-TABLIGH [Conveying the Message] بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 2 نَحْمَدُهُ وَنُصَلَّى To the descendants of pīrs, devotees engaged in prostrations, faqīrs involved in deviant practices, ascetics, sufis, and those secluding to take care of shrines in Punjab, India, Arabian countries, Persia, Egypt, Iran, Turkey and other countries. In a meeting on 11 January 1893, my sincere friend and my beloved for the sake of Allah, Maulawi ʻAbdul-Karim of Sialkot suggested that a letter be included in this book Dāfiʻul-Wasāwis to those ascetics and descendants of pirs who are engaged day and night in deviant practices and act in complete opposition to the Book of Allah. Moreover, they are not informed of this Movement which has been established by God Almighty Himself. I really liked this suggestion of Maulawi Şahib. I have written something about the ascetics of the present times during the discussion 1. The Promised Messiahas originally wrote this letter in Arabic; its translation is provided in this section.
