404 Α'ΙΝΑ-Ε-ΚΑMĀLĀT-E-ISLAM-DAFI UL-WASĀWIS this day, thousands of good and righteous persons are to be found among the Muslims who have turned their back upon the wretched world; and five times a day, the Adhān of the Tauhid [Oneness] of God so reverberates from the mosques that the rays of the Tauhid of God as proclaimed by Muhammad reach up to the very heavens. So what occasion was there for the spirit of the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to become so agitated, as there was for the spirit of the Messiah- occasion for which had been created by the offensive preaching of the Christians, their hateful deeds, their polytheistic teach- ings, their interference with the functions of Prophethood, and their setting up equals with God? In this age such agitation for his followers could also not have arisen in the spirit of Hadrat Mūsā [Moses], for they have become almost extinct, and today there are no more than a few hundred thousand of his fol- lowers upon the surface of the earth, and even they merit the description: ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ ! [They were smitten with abasement and destitution], and they are immersed in worldliness and are despised in people's eyes. But the Christians number more than four hundred million in this age and they are very aggressively spreading their cor- rupt beliefs, and are attempting hundreds of different ways for their devilish designs to find a home in the hearts of the people-some are roaming about as preachers, some are sing- ers, some are poets publishing poems on the Christian creed of the Trinity, some have become Yogis to spread their beliefs, some have taken upon themselves the duty of translating their 1.
