[LETTER TO NAWWAB MUHAMMAD ALI KHAN] Please read this letter carefully at least three times. Although this letter is addressed to you, many of its contents are meant to dispel the misgivings of others, even though you are the apparent addressee. بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ! نَحْمَدُهُ وَنُصَلَّى My dear brother Nawwāb Muhammad Ali Khan, may Allah protect you! As-salāmu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullāhe wa Barakātuhū [Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings]. More than a week ago rather, more than ten days ago-I received the affectionate letter from your dear self. As it con- tained several matters calling for a detailed response, and as I had very little time due to the compilation of the bookĀʼīna-e- Kamālāt-e-Islām-for which I am preparing my manuscripts daily-I was not able to write a response, nor were you pressing for a quick reply. Today it occurred to me that since you are a special loved one and your enquiries are based entirely upon sincere intentions and honesty of purpose, it is necessary that I 1.
