360 Α'ΙΝΑ-Ε-ΚΑMĀLĀT-E-ISLAM-DAFI UL-WASĀWIS manifest to the people that you are incapable of showing any heavenly Sign and expose your falsehood and deception to the Muslims, for I believe you have nothing to do with mesmerism etc. and the weapon and device for deception that you possess is simply your clever speech and eloquence. However, if I were to go to Qadian for such purpose, I fear that you would try to end my life, thereby bringing about the fulfilment of your rev- elation that this person would die upon reaching the age of 52 years, which your disciples and friends, Miyāń Chattu, the silk dealer, and Miyāń Rajab-ud-Din, the rice thresher of Lahore, etc. are circulating among themselves. (Although in reality this could never be proven true, for I have already completed the age of 52; 17th of Muharram 1256 Hijri is my birthday, and now it is the year 1310 Hijri). Or you will at least plan to try to dis- grace me. If, therefore, you wish to invite me to come to you keeping in mind this objective of mine, you should first remove this fear of mine by executing a written legal document which should be registered in court. I shall send to you the draft of this document if you sig- nify your agreement to bear this responsibility. Only then shall this humble one come to Qadian and perform the same service regarding you while residing there that I am performing here. If, however, you do not agree to the above condition, I cannot come to Qadian. I was surprized at you asking for my permission to publish your and your followers' revelations and dreams about me and I became convinced from this that you are a great liar in your claim of being a recipient of revelation.
