IO Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS repel but do not welcome; they preach to others what they themselves do not practice; they create disorder but do not promote peace; they divide but fail to reconcile; they declare others as disbelievers without any knowledge nor any fear; they urge the laity to do good but they themselves persist in evil; they say to a believer, You are not a believer', while caring not the least for the punishment of Allah the Exalted, and they refuse to reflect. O Allah! Save us from their mischief and exonerate us from their allegations and distinguish us exclusively by Your protection, Your selection, and Your beneficence. Do not entrust us to the protec- tion of anyone besides You; enable us to do good deeds that please You. We seek Your mercy, Your bounty, and Your pleasure, for You are the Best of those who show mercy. O my Lord, by Your grace, be my strength and illumine my sight and what is in my heart and be the purpose of my life and my death. Fill me with Your love and grant me such love that it is surpassed by none after me. O my Lord, accept my prayers, grant me my wishes, cleanse me, protect me, draw me close to Yourself; guide me, help me and enable me to do good, purify me, illumine my soul, make me entirely Yours and become entirely mine. O my Lord, come to me from every door, deliver me from every veil, make me drink deep from Your every beverage and help me against the rising passions of the self and its enticements, and protect me from the pitfalls of separation and its manifold darkness; leave me not to my self even for the blink of an eye and guard me against its evils; make me ascend and rise towards You and permeate Yourself into every particle of my being; make me among those who swim freely in Your seas, and roam freely in the gardens of Your light and who are pleased with the issuance of Your decrees; and create distance between myself and all those besides You. O my Lord, by Your grace and by the light of Your countenance, show me Your beauty and make me drink Your pure water and deliver me from every kind of veil and haze; make me not among those who revert
