310 Α'ΙΝΑ-Ε-ΚΑMĀLĀT-E-ISLAM-DAFI UL-WASĀWIS mercy]. I was determined to appoint a vicegerent on earth and so I created Adam, who comprises mysteries. We created him on the day of promise. This means that the Promised One has appeared at a time which had been indicated through the Holy Prophetsas. It is indicated that at the time of his appearance, such and such people will be dominant in their empire and strength, and such and such type of worship of creatures will be prevalent. The Promised One has come in the same age, which is the time of the Cross and the worship of ‘Īsā [Jesus]. He who can realize should fully understand these things before death overtakes him. He should think over the prophecies. يَكْسِرُ الصَّلِيْبَ ]He will break the cross[ يَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ will kill the swine, and ponder over يَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ he will abolish the Jizyah. All these matters apply to the People of the Book, and to no one else. Thus, when it is admitted that in that age the Christian religion and the Christian states would be very powerful—the same being indicated in the Noble Quran as well-is it still necessary to associate with them another hypotheti- cal and whimsical dajjal of one's own imagination? These are indeed the people who have overrun the entire earth. If any other dajjal were to make his appearance while they were in existence, how would this dajjal spread in the world? You cannot place two swords in one sheath. When the whole world would be under the kingdom of the Dajjaāl, where would Britain, Russia, Germany, France, and the European states be, because the Promised Messiah must appear at the time when Christian states are in existence? Therefore, when it is essential that the Promised Messiah should appear at the time of the dominance of the Christian states, find them to be the authors of all strife and spiritual disturbance, break their crosses, kill their swine and abolish Jizyah by 1.
