202 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS In short, this verse also provides a scriptural proof that the angels are like the spirit of life for the stars and heavenly forces. This is the very reason why God Almighty has sometimes ascribed the opera- tion of the stars to the angels in the Noble Quran, and sometimes the operation of the angels has been attributed to the stars. The fact is that since the angels, according to the Holy Quran, are like the soul for the stars, the Sun, the Moon and the heavens; and the stability and durability of all things depends upon their connection with the angels; and all the celestial bodies, the stars, the Sun, the Moon and the heavens would undergo a sort of death if the angels step aside; then, given this situation, are they not like the soul for them, or are they something else? I sorely lament the deplorable state of these maulawis who, seeing all these manifest and clear Quranic statements, are still reluctant to accept the fact that angels have such a strong connection with heavenly bodies—rather, earthly and heavenly bodies for some angels which are earthly in scope—just like souls have with hearts. It is absolutely true that it is also proven by the Noble Quran that the angels maintain a permanent presence in the heavens, but isn't this other fact also proven true according to the same Holy Book that angels have a protective connection with every single heavenly body, and every star is depend- ent upon the assistance of angels in its survival, stability, and ensuing activities? What a pity that these people who refer to themselves as maulawis are completely infatuated with condemning Muslims as kāfirs with- out any basis, yet they fail to look upon the sacred and wise teaching of the Noble Quran with a prudent and penetrating eye! So then how can they be successful in understanding truth? They do not appreciate the Noble Quran in the least, and dismiss it as—God forbid—a collection of superficial ideas, remaining completely oblivious to the supreme strength, wisdom, and profound mysteries of the Noble Quran.
