Bear in mind that the world of the Hereafter is really a reflection of this world. Just as faith and its consequences, as well as disbelief and its consequences, are manifested in a spiritual form in this world, they will assume a physical form in the world of the Hereafter. Allah, His eminence be glorified, says: مَنْ كَانَ فِي هَذِةٍ أَعْلَى فَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَعْلَى Meaning that: The one who is blind in this world will also be blind in that world. We should not be surprised by this personification or embodiment and should ponder how spiritual matters appear in the world of dreams in embodied forms. The world of visions is even more wonderful than this; for, despite retaining our normal senses and being awake, we see spiritual phenomena actualized as physical objects with our very eyes. For example, we frequently meet, in perfect wakefulness, the spirits of people who passed away long ago. They appear before us in their physical bodies, in the garments of this world, just as they appeared when they were alive in this world. They speak and with God's per- mission, the holier from among them often inform us about certain future events which are later manifested accordingly. Often, in perfect wakefulness, one has a vision of receiving a sweet drink or some type of fruit that is extremely delicious. My humble has personally experienced all these phenomena. From among the higher types of visions, there is one that occurs when one is perfectly awake. I have seen so much in my personal expe- rience that some delicious food or fruit or drink appears before me from the unseen, and it is placed into the mouth by an unseen hand.
