On the other hand, the Christians have published their critical works on Islam and two- page pamphlets in such abundance that at least a thousand copies each would have been apportioned among every Muslim living in British India. Only a great deceiver and an enemy of Islam will deny such a self-evident fact. When, in terms of the number of publications, Islamic defence against the onslaught of the priests does not even amount to a particle that has come up against a mountain, would it still be justified in saying that we have done all we could and have published all the defence that was obligatory upon us? O heedless ones! Fear Almighty Allah. Why do you for- sake the truth due to your inner spite? Why do you transgress? Will you not one day be called to account for your actions? I cannot help but cry over the state of these people when I look at the quantity of the publication work conducted so far by our scholars. The Christian clergy received help worth tens of millions of rupees from their people and thus the number of their published works reached millions. In like manner, if the Muslim writers had received such kind of aid, they would also have created a great revolution in the hearts in favour of the true beliefs by the publication of tens of millions of books. This is the calamity that Islam is facing in terms of the magnitude of the published books against it. Now consider another trouble that attends Islam in terms of quality, namely that until now only one hundred fifty or less than two hundred out of three thousand objections have been answered and that too mostly by way of counter accusation.
