44 HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMADAS in accordance with the above conditions, such an author who is considered to be the master of the art of debate, should also have full command of writing in Arabic too. The reason for this is that unless one has command over Arabic, his intellect and under- standing are not reliable nor can he bring general benefit to the public by writing books in Arabic. Since it is now being discussed that anyone who expresses his opinion with regard to selecting someone for this service must have sufficient knowledge as to whether the earlier writings of such a person testify that he is a man of such stature and ability that his pen has already produced brilliant discourse on religious issues and that he has authored books in Arabic of rare quality, so, therefore, this humble author like Joseph, peace be upon him, feels obliged, purely out of good intention, and in order to support the truth, to declare regarding myself that I am blessed with such knowledge by the grace of God Almighty and I am capable of accomplishing this task. My books written to date in connection with religious debates are as follows: Barāhīn-e-Ahmadiyyah, all four parts in refutation of the Aryas, Brahmus and the Christians. Surmah Chashm- e-Aryah, a rebuttal of the Āryas. Aik Īsāī kay Chār Sawālun kā Jawab-a profound treatise. Kitābul-Bariyyah, a rebuttal of the Christians. The book Ayyāmuş-Şulh. The treaties Nūrul-Qurʼān, a rebuttal of the Christian objections. The book Karāmātus- Sādiqin, a commentary on the Holy Quran in Arabic. The book Hamāmatul-Bushrā, an Arabic treatise. The book Sirrul-Khilafah, in Arabic. The book Nūrul-Haqq, in Arabic. The book Itmāmul- Hujjah in Arabic, and many more that I have written in Urdu, Persian and Arabic. My long speech in support of Islam is found in the book published by the committee for the Great Conference
