14 HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMADAS of Ummahātul-Mu'minin, Imaduddin and Safdar Ali, etc. , the reason for their apostasy is that at the time they were not dealt with kindness and compassion, rather more often than not they were treated rudely and offensively; their misconceptions were not removed with tenderness. Therefore, these people, having been deprived of Islamic blessings, donned the cloak of apostasy. Presently, the majority of those who attack Islam comprise of people who became Christian in desperation due to the lack of attention they received from their fellow Muslims. Just open your eyes and see that the people who spew foul language they have not come from Europe, but are the very descendants of the native Muslims of this country who, by gradually alienating themselves from Islam and slowly being influenced by the Christian propa- ganda, have reached thus far. In fact, millions of hearts have been ruined and thousands of minds have been perverted. Therefore, the most vital and important thing for us to do is to cast a glance and see that people are becoming lepers, and poisonous plants of misconceptions have been sown and continue to take root in countless hearts. God Almighty encourages us throughout the Holy Quran that we should truly support the faith of Islam, and it is our responsibility that every single objection raised by the opponents should be answered with thorough research and detailed investigation, in order to fully satisfy the seekers of truth. But here naturally a question arises: would it be sufficient to refute only those objections raised in the treatise Ummahātul- Mu'minin? In response, I emphatically present my counsel that this effort alone is completely inadequate to counter the current deadly wind.
