6 HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMADAS be bestowed upon one who is enslaved to the world. Hence, there is no doubt, it is for the Prophets and Servants of God to clinch the argument with conclusive discourse and only those who have effaced themselves in God can become the recipients of His bless- ings. Allah, Exalted be His Glory, says, لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ How then can an impure, hypocritical and worldly person receive heavenly blessings without which there can be no victory? How can the Holy Spirit ever speak to the heart in which Satan whis- pers? So never expect that the discourse of the one, who is bereft of a pure relationship with God, can be infused with spirituality, blessing and attraction. But the one who, after losing himself in God, stands up to support the faith with His command, receives blessings from on high at every step; he is bestowed with wisdom from the unseen. Mercy flows from his lips and his discourse is endowed with a sweetness. SIXTH CONDITION is the knowledge of history, for religious debates are more often than not aided by this subject. For instance, quite a number of prophecies made by our Lord and Master, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, recorded in the books of Hadith such as Bukhārī and Muslim etc. , have been fulfilled centuries after the publication of those books.
