44 MALFŪZĀT - ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF URDU VOLUME 8 26 OCTOBER 1905 (In Delhi) The Promised Messiahas called for the carriages to be brought in the morning and visited the blessed tombs of Khwajah Mīr Dard and Shāh Waliullah. Pointing to the cemetery on the way, he said: This is the permanent abode of man where he rests, freed from all kinds of ailments. He prayed on the grave of Khwajah Mīr Dard and, looking at the inscription, he said: Writing an inscription is not prohibited in the Shariah. There are many benefits to it. ¹ From here, the Promised Messiahas went to the grave of Hadrat Shāh Waliullah and prayed for him. The Promised Messiahas said: Shah Waliullah was a revered man who saw visions and per- formed miracles. All these saintly people lie under the earth, and those above the earth are so occupied with innovations that they transform truth into falsehood and falsehood into truth.
