THE FINAL WORD In Warning Insolent Mukaffirin & Completing the Argument Against Lying Fabricators Know that this book chastises every person who behaves insolently towards the Auliya [Friends] of the Gracious God and is heed- less of the lofty ranks of the wise. I wrote its two parts by the grace of Allah, the Benefactor. Hence, they are both miracles for a servant who knows nothing except that which the ilham [divine inspiration] of the Almighty and the Compassionate has taught him. Verily, Allah helps those people who reach a level of sincerity not reached by anyone else of the age and grants them what is not granted to anyone else. He places blessings in their actions and words; light in their insight and thinking; and He shows mankind that they are of those who are helped and accepted [by Him]. Likewise has His practice carried on and His custom continued that he honours the pious, disgraces the wicked, and does not allow His sincere servants to suffer ruin. When He bestows on them something that manifests their miracles and raise their ranks, their enemies are unable to produce the like thereof, even if they spend their entire lives in contemplation and annihilate themselves in exami- nation [of the miracle]. It is not [possible] for a person to oppose Allah and His servants who are granted His support as the knowledge that is derived from novel occurrences is not equal to knowledge obtained from the Lord of all creation. Is the one who sees the same as the one who is blind? And are those who enjoy heavenly blessings the same as those who are mere mortals of the earth? No! Rather, Allah creates a distinction for His Auliyā'; increasing them in knowledge and understanding; helping
